This is our Story
With over 30 years of expertise in funeral planning, Thabiso Motaung began his career as a young hearse driver. Throughout his career, he learned invaluable lessons in etiquette, care, and the weight of handling life’s most dignified journeys. In 2012, Thabiso founded Cartel Events & Catering to fulfill his vision of offering personalized, respectful, and meaningful funerals.
Having planned everything from intimate memorials to high-profile state funerals, Thabiso’s dedication to honoring lives is reflected in every service. After a near-death experience with COVID-19, Thabiso’s mission was strengthened: to ensure that funeral planning is not a privilege for the elite but accessible to everyone.
